Oldenlandia corymbosa is the dried whole plant of its fresh form and belongs to the genus of Hedyotis, Rubiaceae. It was initially recorded in the Chinese botanical drug monograph, the Illustrated Catalogue of Plants. It is bitter, cold, and has the function of clearing away heat and toxic materials. It is usually employed mainly for the treatment of malaria, and also scald, pyogenic infections and periappendicular abscess. Modern pharmacological researches showed that the Oldenlandia corymbosa has the function of anti-tumor, protecting liver, anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial. These indicate that Oldenlandia corymbosa has great research value. The quality standard on Oldenlandia corymbosa was only recorded in the Standard of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Guangdong. But the quality standard that faces two issues including non-characteristic and items omitting cannot effectively control its quality. So, the chemical composition of Oldenlandia corymbosa was researched. And basing on the chemical composition and the difference between Oldenlandia corymbosa and Oldenlandia diffusa, the study of comprehensive quality standards was researched.Including:Part1:Summarized the plant morphology, chemical composition, pharmacological activity and quality of research of Oldenlandia corymbosaPart2:Researched systematically the extraction, separation and purification of Oldenlandia corymbosa. And finally got17compounds.Part3:the quality standard of the Oldenlandia corymbose. Including:(1) identify items:microscopic identification, TLC identification;(2) determination of content items:the hedyotiscone A, scandoside methyl ester, oleanolic acid and ursolic acid content determination;(3) check items:moisture, total ash, acid insoluble ash content, heavy metals and pesticide residues determination;(4) the quality standard draft of Oldenlandia corymbosa.
