Purpose:Use the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance System for data mining on the past literature relating to traditional Chinese medicine prescription for treating PCOS. Discusse on the principles and characteristics of medicines of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of PCOS.So we can be guiding better on the clinical medication and improve the clinical efficacy.We also hope to provide some scientific basis for the treatment of PCOS.Material and method:S earch all the literature about the TCM treatment of PCOS published between 1978-2014 years. Screen out qualified 216 articles altogether,then extracte 303 prescriptions. Use the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance System opened up by China Institute of Chinese medicine Chinese medicine science and Research Institute of automation Chinese analyzing the collected data, exploring the TCM’s using frequency a nd composing principle of the treatment on PCOS.Finally obtains the new prescription.Results:Based on the above 216 papers in 303 prescriptions in the first analysis, that included 240 drugs, commonly used drugs are Chinese angelica, dodder, Poria,Radix Rehmanniae Preparata, Rhizoma Cyperi, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Herba Epimedii,chuanxiong rhizome, wolfberry fruit, Chinese yam, Atractylodes, radix salviae miltiorrhizae, Fructus Corni, tangerine peel, Atractylodes, Morinda officinalis,bupleurum, Achyranthes root, tree peony bark, peach kernel, safflower,motherwort, taking the tonic medicine, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, Qi medicine, antipyretic and diuresis medicine etc. Analysis of composition rules based on association rules, support degree is 45, set set up confidence of 0.6 commonly used drugs, get 32 pairs. The results of the research show the practice of Professor Huang about diarrhoea-treating, thatis based on root deficiency and branch excess, root deficiency presents with spleen-liver-kidney insufficiency and branch excess with dampness; and treatment based on syndrome differentiation.
