Clinical Study On Treatment Of Cancer Pain With Traditional Chinese Medicine

Purpose: The study is characterized by patients with cancer pain,to evaluate analgesia effects and safety of cancer pain treated by traditional chinese medicine analgesia tincture by using randomized、double-blind、multi-center and placebo-controlled method. Material and method: 60 patients diagnosed with bone metastases and liver cancer from October 10,2014 to March,2015,including 9 cases from Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,8 cases from Second Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,17 cases from General Hospital of Angang Group,16 cases from Benxi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,8 cases from Benxi General hospital of Bengang,2 cases from Shenyang Chest hospital,which were characterized by mild-moderate pain and collateral obstruction due to stasis blood from TCM syndrome based on differentiation.Use DAS software to determine random code table.The patients were divided randomly into two groups,the treatment group was given traditional chinese medicine analgesia tincture,while the placebo group was given TCM analgesia tincture simulant,the medicine of two groups was respectively sprayed on patients’ painful area(less than or equal 2 areas),the amount of 0.5ml each time,2 hours at intervals,8 times each day, 7 days as a course.Pain NRS scores(scores for pain in resting and motion state)、the level of complain of pain、pain time、sleeping time、the superior rate of analgesia and treatment、pain affecting evaluation、curative effects of TCM syndrome and related adverse reactions were observed.Results:60 patients were included in the study,completed 60 cases,30 cases in the treatment group and 30 cases in the placebo group. 1.Effective analysis of main indicators after treatmentAfter patients used traditional chinese medicine analgesia tincture for 7 days,NRS scores of treatment group in resting state decreased(1.13±0.819)score,which was more higher placebo group( 0.77±0.817) group,and no significant difference(P>0.05),while NRS scores of treatment group in motion of treatment group reduced(1.77±0.774)score,which was markedly superior to placebo group(0.17±0.874)score(P<0.05). 2.Effective analysis of secondary indicators after treatmentAfter patients used traditional chinese medicine analgesia tincture for 7 days,the level of complain of pain in treatment group decrease(0.77±0.504)、pain time reduced(1.633±1.121)h and sleeping time increased(1.383±0.827)h,which all were markedly superior to the placebo group(P<0.05);aggregate scores of TCM syndrome in treatment group decrease(4.80±1.606)score、total scores of pain-effecting reduce(9.67±4.18)score,which all were significantly better than the placebo group; the superior rate of analgesia in treatment group was 66.7%,which was obviously better than the placebo group,and it was no found medicine-related adverse reactions in the process of treatment to improve obviously satisfaction rate of comprehensive treatment. 3.Safety evaluation:There were np medicine-related adverse reactions in two groups. Conclusion: 1.Traditional chinese medice analgesia tincture can alleviate effectively mild-moderate cancer pain、lengthen the analgesia time、improve sleeping quality and improve the superior rate of analgesia and treatment,which has the effects on relieving cancer pain 、 improving patients’ life quality and reducing patients’ cancer pain. 2.The use of traditional chinese medice analgesia tincture is safe.It is no found some adverse responses,such as topical skin allergy、rash and edema.
