Purpose: Throught detecting retinal superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity and contentof tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) in the vitreous humoron on the rabbit vitreous hemorrhage on the affect of aplaaying Qing Liang Yin(QLY), as well as observing changes in the vitreous before and after treatment. To explore mechanisms that may be present and related effects of Qing Liang Yin(QLY) in the treatment of vitreous hemorrhage disease.Material and method:Abstract a little vitreous tissue(0.2ml) from the experimental rabbit’s right eye and inject the blood(0.2ml) come from the animal itself into the vitreous exactly to make the animal model of vitreous hemorrhage. Thirty two rabbits, with experimental vitreous hemorrhage, were divided randomly into control group(normal group), model of vitreous hemorrhage group(model group), treated group with Chinese Traditional Medicine(QLY group) and treated group with Western Medicine(An Sui Dian group). The animals were raised normally and killed after eight weeks. The activity of SOD in retina and the content of TNF-αin vitreous were determined. Slit lamp microcopy and funduscopy were also made to observe the absorption of vitreous hemorrhage.Results: 1. In the experimental vitreous hemorrhage eyes, retinal SOD activity was significantly decreased, vitreous tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) values increased. 2. Qing Liang Yin(QLY) treated group, superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity was higher than the other group, but lower than the blank group; tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) content is less than the other group, but higher than blank group. 3. Chinese medicine group absorption of vitreous hemorrhage was slightly better than western medicine group, traditional Chinese medicine group and western medicine group was significantly better than the model group.Conclusion: 1. Qing Liang Yin(QLY) can improve retinal SOD activity, so as to enhance organizational antioxidant capacity and to reduce free radical damage to retinal tissue, and play a protective effect on retinal tissue structure. 2. Qing Liang Yin(QLY) can reduce the content of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), thus can reduce inflammatory reaction and the formation of proliferation in the organization after the vitreous hemorrhage, so effectively protect the vitreous structure. 3. Qing Liang Yin(QLY) has accelerated absorption effect of vitreous hemorrhage, and vitreous transparency accelerate recovery.
