This thesis deals with a pilot study on the chemical composition and bacteriostasis of nbutanol extractive material of Scleroderma citrinum Per. And this study, with the methods of isolation of modern chemistry and techniques of phytochemistry employed, and bacteriostasis of the nbutanol extractive material tracked and determined, had isolated one compound of the nbutanol extractive material, which was then modified, and finally, compared the bacteriostasis of the pure compound with that of the modified compounds. The result is following. When concentration is 10mg/mL, the total extractive material of S.citrinum Per. and its nbutanol extractive material have varied inhibitory effects on staphylococcus aureus,Bacillus megaterium,Bacillus prodigious, Enterobacter aerogenes and Escherichia coli, and especially, both are most inhibitory to Bacillus prodigious. The total extractive material is more inhibitory to staphylococcus aureus, B. megaterium and Bacillus prodigious than to the rest two. However, both extractives show indistinct inhibitory effects on three moulds i.e. Aspergillus terreus,Trichoderma viride, and Trichoderma koningii.when the MIC of the total extractive is 3.75mg/mL the inhibitory effect on the five moulds is observed. When The MIC is 7.5 mg/mL, the inhibitory effect on staphylococcus aureus, E. aerogenes is observed. When the MIC is 3.75mg/mL it is inhibitory to Bacillus prodigious without effect on B. megaterium. From the nbutanol extractive material of S. citrinum Per. was isolated a compound, which was through spectroscopy identified as N,N-dimethylphenylalanine, one of nonproteinic amino acids.N,N-dimethylphenylalanine was modified into three derivatives by esterifying its carbon terminals with methyl, ethyl and butyl.and the structures of the three derivatives were identified through spectroscopy. The compound S and its three derivativesS-1,S-2,S-3 had varied inhibitory effects on the five moulds when their concentration was 5mg/mL. Derivatives S-1 and S-2 were distinctly inhibitory to Bacillus prodigious, and the bacteriostasis halos caused by S were...
