Cabbage is an important vegetable in the anniversary production. Because the cabbage is a green body vernalizing crop, early maturation of spring cabbage frequently occurs in the abnormal climate, for example, warmer winter, late spring cold, especially the variety does not work. Thereby, the quality is seriously influenced, and the massive loss of the production happened. The main method to resolve the problem is selecting new spring cabbage varieties tolerant to immaturity bolting.Correlation of physiological indexes on nutrition quality in ten high quality spring cabbages was analyzed. The results indicated that there was an significant positive correlation between the content of dry substance and the soluble sugar, the crude fiber content and the organic acid, and there were not significant correlation among others factors.Identified tolerance to immaturity bolting, quality, and other horticultural traits by dichotomy, several spring cabbage materials with good qualities in oblate-shaped or round-shaped were selected. Genes from different original germplasm resources were recombined by way of acculturating breed, and good self-incompatibility lines were selected. Furthermore, we selected a new hybrid variety 'Chunkui', which has lots of good traits as cold-tolerance (surviving from the open field without immaturity bolting in winter), beautiful appearance, good quality, and so on.
