OBJECTIVE: To explore the role of DDX24 new gene in the occurrence and progression of transitional cell carcinoma。 METHOD: DNA primer of DDX24 gene was synthesized with PCR by use of plasmid including segment of DDX24 gene, which was offered by yang qing doctor。 Then, RNA primer was made by transcripting DNA primer。 At last, expression of DDX24 new gene was investigated with hybridization in situ by using RNA primer in 32 cases of TCC and 8 cases of normal bladder tissue.RESULTS: All normal bladder tissue showed high expression while the expression in bladder tumour was relatively low or negative. Moreover, the expression degree of DDX24 gene was correlated with the stage and grade of tumour。 With increasement of the stage and grade of tumour, expression degree conversely goes down。 CONCLUSION:The results suggest that DDX24 new gene has important influence on the biological behavior of bladder transitional cell carcinoma and the expression of DDX24 gene might serve as an indicator for malignancy of the carcinoma.
