In this paper, I expounded the lately development of studies on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine. In recent years, a lot of Chinese medicine scholars concluded that deficiency of the kidney is the main pathogenic factor and pathogenesis of PCOS, stagnation of phlegm is the secondary aspects of the disease. They set up different therapeutical tenets basing on different pathogenic factor and pathogenesis. In other sides, I detailedly expatiated each modern therapy means to treat it and simply described the etiology and pathogenesis of PCOS in modern medicine, Objectively comparing the superority and inferiority of traditional Chinese treatment with that of modern medicine. 53 analyzed cases of PCOS were divided into 3 groups at random, first treating with CangFuDaoTanTang, second with western medicine, final with them two. The results showed that the curative effect of treating PCOS with traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine is superor to with them respectively.
