Objective: To assess the cognitive functions of healthy adult using neuropsychological tests, Compare the sex differences and age differences of cognitive functions and neuroendocrine hormones and analyse the relationship between the cognitive functions and the alteration levels of peripheral blood concentration of neuroendocrine hormones.Method: 156 healthy persons(64 adult men and 92 adult women)were tested by a lot of neuropsychological assessment including parts of WAIS,Logical Memory and Visual Reproduction subsets of WMS, Stroop Test, Verbal Fluency, Trail A and B, Tower of Hanoi and Modified version of Wisconsin Card sorting Tests. Blood samples were collected at 7:30 to 8:30AM before the assessment. ACTH, PTC, E2, P ,T, LH., FSH were measuredResults: The cognitive functions including the score of WAIS and TOH of maleare much better than those of female. With aging, the cognitive functions are gradually decreased in both male and female. But the decreasing rate of male is relatively slower. T level of male is much higher, but their P, LH, FSH levels are much lower than those of female. The change rate with aging in male is also relatively slower. The concentrations of PTC and ACTH are related with the memory functions and the levels of E2, P, T, LH.,FSH are related with attention, memory, thought and executive functions. Conclusion: The functin of neuroendocrine is related with the neuropsychological function in healthy adult.
