| Objectthrough this research we want to explore 1) difference of neuropsychological tests among first-episode schizophrenia patients, their healthy siblings and healthy control.2) The impact of cognitive function with DUP,family history of psychotic illness, psychiatric symptoms and the treatment of Risperidone of first-episode schizophrenia patients.Methods92 first-episode schizophrenia patients,56 their healthy siblings and 62 healthy controls were assessed with groove pegboard test,Trail Making Test,Stroop Test, symbol coding, symbol search, category fluency test,BVMT-R,Wechsler Memory Scale -â…¢(WMS-â…¢) Spatial Span Task,HVLT-R,PASAT and WCST-64.In addition, patients assessed with PANSS,CGI,PSP and GAF.Patients were repeated by all projects after the treatment of 8 weeks.Results1) Compared with control group,first-episode schizophrenia patients showed significantly impaired in all neuropsychological test scores, healthy siblings of patients showed significantly impaired in neuropsychological test scores including Trail Making Test,Stroop Test, symbol coding, symbol search, category fluency test,BVMT-R,HVLT-R, PASAT.2) For patients there are significant differences in Trail Making Test, Stroop Test and BVMT-R among DUP,and in GPT,symbol coding, category fluency test and HVLT-R among psychiatric symptoms, but no difference between family history of psychotic illness.3) Before and after treatment for patients, there are significant differences in all aspects of neuropsychological test scores,PANSS,CGI,PSP and GAF,and compared with control group, there are significant differences except WMS-â…¢Spatial Span Task. Conclusions1) The cognitive function deficits in first-episode schizophrenia patients are affected in wide range and there is consensus on the improvements of cognitive function, psychiatric symptoms and social function.2) Healthy siblings of first-episode schizophrenia patients have cognitive function deficits of speed of processing,attention/vigilance, verbal learning and memory, visual learning and memory 3) reducing the DUP has effects on speed of processing and visual learning and memory in first-episode schizophrenia patients.4) Negative symptoms has effects on speed of processing and verbal learning and memory in first-episode schizophrenia patients.5) First-episode schizophrenia patients recover working memory of cognitive function. |
