Combined with TCM basic theory and modern medical advancement, this study considered that the basic pathomechanism of unstable angina pectoris was toxin accumulation together with QI deficiency and blood stasis. It pointed out an hypothesis that the injury of net work vessels of the heart by toxin was an important pathomechanism of unstable angina pectoris, resolving toxin was the important treatment method, and resolving toxin combined with promoting QI and activating blood circulation should be superior to promoting QI and activating blood circulation. According to this, we observed the effect of 65 case of UA patients that belonged to QI deficiency blood stasis and toxin injury at random and through comparsion. All the patients were given the same west medicine regiment. 22 cases of promoting QI and activating blood stasis group were added with combination of promoting QI and activating blood stasis treatment(Astragale Injection and Panax Notoginseng saponins). 20 cases of promoting QI activating blood stasis and resolving toxin group were added with combination of promoting QI activating blood stasis and resolving toxin treatment(Astragale Injection, Panax Notoginseng saponins and Toxin-resolving-heart-protecting capsule). 23 cases of west medicine control group were of no Chinese medicine. We mainly observed such indexes as clinical symptom, EKG effect,CD62p,vWF,cardiac function and blood-lipid. The resultsshowed that there was serious endothelium injury, platelet activation and inflammation in UA patients, and the diastolic-systolic function of heart decreased with different degree. Promoting QI and activating blood circulation group and Promoting QI activating blood circulation and resolving toxin group both could improve the clinical symptoms and abnormal EKG, reduce CD62p,vWF,TNF,CRP and improve the indexes of diastolic and systolic function of left ventricular. Most indexes 'manifested that combination of promoting QI activating blood circulation and resolving toxin was superior to the combination of promoting QI and activating blood circulation. It suggested the mechanism related to protecting endothelium function, inhibiting platelet activation, anti-inflammation, proving cardiac function and so on. This study primarily tested and verified the responsibility and availability of promoting QI activating blood circulation and resolving toxin combination in preventing and treating UA, and provided reliable basis to choose good treatment method of integrated TCM and west medicine for UA.
