This article reports on detecting the blood histamine content of 34specimens with psoriasis and 56specimens with urticaria by Fluorescence Spectrophotometer method, then comparing respectively with that of normal control, and examining histamine concentration in the psoriatic plaque and uninvolved skins of 16specimens with psoriasis. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of histamine in the pathogenesis and significance with psoriasis and urticaria.Results:(1) It showed that before treatment blood histamine content of 34 specimens with psoriasis was significant higher than normal group (p<0.01),when lesions disappeared by treatment ,it had no statistical difference than normal group(p>0.05).(2)It showed that histamine concentration increased in psoriatic plaque compared with nonlesional skinin psoriatic patient (p<0.01).(3)It showed that before treatment blood histamine content of 56specimens with urticaria was significant higher than that of normal group(p<0.001),when the lesions disappeared by treatment, blood histamine content had no statistical difference than that of normal group(p>0.05).Before treatment blood histamine content of 31specimens with acute urticaria and 25specimens with chronic urticaria was respectively significant higher than normal group(p<0.001, p<0.05),when the lesions disappeared by treatment, blood histamine content had no statistical difference than normal group(p>0.05). Blood histamine content of 31specimens with acute urticaria had no statistical difference than that of 25specimens chronic urticaria before or after treatment(p>0.05).Conclusion :(1) It suggests that histamine as a mediator of immune-inflammation net maybe play an important role in pathogenesis of psoriasis. The results are compatible with the hypothesis that mast cells in lesional skin secrete an increased amount of histamine that may contribute to immunostimulation and inflammation in the psoriatic plaque. The role of histamine maybe start the interaction between the cells in the immune-inflammation reaction, influence the metabolism of cAMP and cGMP, and directly influence the epidermal proliferation. (2) It suggests that histamine play an important role of pathogenesis in urticaria, by detectingblood histamine content, it can reflect the liberty of histamine in the body and it is beneficial to observe the state of illness, judge the curative effect, and explain the pathogenesis in urticaria.
