The extraction of glycyrrhizic acid is one of the important parts in the research and development of glycyrrhizic acid. The effect of Supersonic wave on glycyrrhizic acid was studied during the course of Extracting glycyrrhizic acid by soaking glycyrrhiza in ethanol solution, compared to the traditional method in which supersonic wave is not used such as heating extraction mothered and cold dipping method, which procession needs a long period of production, a large quantity of solvents and law rate of return of glycyrrhizic acid. But the exertion of supersonic wave can shorten extracting time, obtain high yield. In order to ascertain the optimum of extraction of glycyrrhizic acid by supersonic wave. We studied the effects of several factors on the extraction induced by supersonic wave, and the last optimum conditions were obtain from 6 groups tests , In there optimum conditions , We can shorten about 90% extraction time , and improve the extracting rate from is up to 87.2%, and pure rate is higher.The medical character is always one of the most research hot spots of glycyrrhizic acid. Some tartar was taken from decayed tooth and cultivated on the general and special selective medium to get clones of L.salivarius and S.mutans. And then the inhibitory effect of grycyrrhizic acid on L.salivarius and S.mutans were researched, the following facts is the results. The general medium of S.mutans is that: beet extract 0.5g, peptone l.Og, NaCl 0.5g, agar 1.5-2g, add water to 100ml, pH4.7; The selective medium of S.mutans is that: beet extract 0.5g, peptone l.Og, NaCl 0.5g, agar 1.5-2g, glucose Ig, solution of VPI 2ml, add water to 100ml, pH4.7; The general medium of S.saliverius is that: panceas peptone Ig, glucose 0.1g, sucrose 5g, beet extract 0.3g yeast extract 0.5g, agar 2g, di-potassiumhy drogerphosphate 0.4g, solution of VPI 0.5ml, add water to 100ml, pH5.4; The selective medium of S.mutans is that: panceas peptone 2g, glucose 0.1g, sucrose 5g,L-cysteine 0.05, agar 2g, solution of VPI 4ml, di-potassiumhy drogerpHospHate 0.4g, add water to 100ml, pH5.4;Both solid and liquid phase assay were used to analyse the effects of different concentraction and different time glycyhizic acid on L.salivarius and L.mutans. The results showed that the reproduction of L.salivarius and S.mutans were both inhibited by glycyrrhizic acid. The result is that: with the increasing of glycyrrhizic acid concentraton, the inhibitory effects of glycyrrhizic acid on L.salivarius and S.mutans is increasing; the long inhibitory of glycyrrhizic acid on L.salivarius is much good; the main effect of glycyrrhizic acid onL.salivarius and S.mutans is inhibitory but not kill.
