Acanthopanax senticosus (Rupr. Et. Maxim) Seem, has given the better efficacy either used for treatment or used for nutrition and health protection. Experts have done the deep study both in pharmacoacology and in the chemical constituents. In order to enlarge the resources of the medicine, experts have shown the interest in other plants of the same genus .In the course of our study, we found the anti-platelet aggregation activity in the plant -Acanthopanax sessiliflorus (Rupr. Et. Maxim) Seem. , but the relevant literatures have not been found. To investigate the material base of the activity, we studied the chemical constituents in the active part. Eleven compounds were isolated from the active part by the method of solvent extraction , sillia gel chromatography and preparative TLC . Nine of them were identified by the method of chemistry and spectral analysis . They are as following: Vanillic acid, Syringic acid, Caffeic acid, Azelaic acid, Isofraxidin,3-hydroxy-5-methoxy- furfural , Syringaresinol , 3,4-Dehydroxybenzaldehye , P ?Sitsterol.Of them, Azelaic acid was the first isolated from this genus. The other seven compounds such as Vanillic acid, Syringic acid, Caffeic acid Isofraxidin , 3-Hydroxy-5-metoxy-furfural , Syringaresinol , 3,4-Dehydroxyb-enzaldehyde were all the first isolated from thisABSTRACTplant. Through the method of HMBC, the Isofraxidin's data of 13C-NMR were identified and errors in the literature were corrected. The other compounds would be identified in the future.
