Experimental Study On The Pharmacodynamics Of XiongDanNiuHuang Capsule In Treatment Of Anemopyretic Cold

XiongDanNiuHuang capsule contains Pel Ursi, Calculus Bovis, Herba Ephedrae, Rhizoma Coptidis and Indigo Naturlis, which has the effect of clearing pathologic heat and toxin and relieving the superficies. It is used to treat anemopyretic cold and seasonal febrile diseases in clinic. Some experimental study on the pharmacodynamics of this capsule was done in this thesis. The results showed that:(1) XiongDanNiuHuang capsule had an inhibitory effect on six kinds of viruses in vivo ,especially HVJ and CoxB4. The drug was also found to inhibit peneumonia induced by influenza virus in mice and decrease death rate of mice infected with influenza virus obviously. (2)It inhibited staphylococcus aurouo and bacillus aeruginosus in vivo, and protected the mice infected with staphylococcus aurouo. (3)The drug had an antipyretic effect on TAB vaccine-induced fever in rabbits. (4)It inhibited the mice auricle tumefaction degree induced by xylene and the rats footpad swelling induced by carragheen. (5)It decreased movement in mice, and inhanced the effect of calming the nerves of barital sodium. (6)It inhibited the pain induced by acetic aicd and raised the pain threshold value of heat stimulation. (7)It facilitated the formation of hemolysin and raised the index of carbon granule clearance in immunosuppressive mice. (8) Itrelieved cough induced by amnonia liquor in mice. (9)It increased secretion of sweat from the rats footpadFinally, we can infer from the experimental results: XiongDanNiuHuang capsule has obvious effect of anti-virus, anti-bacteria, antitipyretic action, anti-inflammation, relieving pain, calming the nerves, enhancing immunologic function, relieving cough and increasing secretion of sweat, and can be used as an effective Chinese medicine to treat anemopyretic cold.
