Treatment Of Epithelial Herps Simplex Keratitis By Combination Of Minimal Dexamethasone And Acyclovir

Objective To investigate the combined effects and by-effects of minimal dexamethasone and Acyclovir against epithelial Herps simplex Keratitis.Method 40 patients with epithelial Herps Keratitis were divided into treatment group and c ontrol group randomly .Eyedrops of minimal dexamethasone (0.01g.l-1) and Acyclovir(lg1-1) were used to the treatment group. .Eyedrops of Acyclovir(1 g1-1) were used to thecontrol group.Results The cure rate of the treatment group was 100%,while The cure rate of the control group was80%.(P<0.05) The cure duration in the treatment group was 7 .1days however, in the control group was 14 days.(P<0.01).And there were no any adverse effect to be found inthe treatment group.Conclusion Minimal dexamethasone (0.01g.1-1)can be used in the patients with epithelial Herps simplex Keratitis.And it also showed that Minimal dexamethasone combined with Acyclo vir can raise cure rate and shorten course of disease.
