| Objective : To study the relationship between concentration of taurochoiate and glycocholate in the patients with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy and fetal prognosis by determination seven kinds of serum conjugated bile acidsMethods Twenty patients with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy were enrolled in this study Twenty normal pregnant women served as controls. Their serum bile acids were treated by Sep-PAK method .Seven kinds of serum conjugated bile acids in patients and normal controls are quantitatively analyzed by reversed high performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection. Results: The concentration of taurochoiate in the patients with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy showed a marked elevation (19.05±9.56 umol/1 vs. 1.79±1.01umol/l, P < 0.01) , as compared to controls The glycocholate/taurocholate ratio was reduced in cholestasis of pregnancy ( 1.02±0.26 vs. 2.42±1.18, P<0.01 ).Conclusion : The results suggested that patients with cholestasis of pregnancy showed significant alterations in the proportion of bile acids in serum. |
