Alopecia seborrheica (AS)is a kind of hair malady whose etiology is still vague at present. Modern medicine thinks that AS is in close contact with genetica, endocrine, immunity, psychologic factors and it is a disease entitly related to multiple pathogenic factors. The Traditional Chinese Medicine ( TCM) considers its etiology as blood heat , heat-wet in spleen and stomach, the deficiency of kidney and liver. The time of curing AS is lasting. Modern medicine's side effect is large and recurrent rate is high. To play an important role of TCM, finding simple and convenient TCM whose side effect is small and curative effect is reliable is the trend of our research. We verified the curative effect of Qu Zhi Sheng Fa Decoction treating AS through clinical observation and the contrary group was treated by oral modern medicine finasteride. Both groups' treating time is six months. In the meantime we've measured the changes of T and E2. The results of observation have proved that Qu Zhi Sheng Fa Decoction could relieve the clinical symptom obviously. At the same time it could justify the endocrine function. The curative effect is superior to modern medicine. Basis is provided with clinical treatment for AS by TCM.Qu Zhi Sheng Fa Decoction deserves the further development and use.
