| Objective To study the perfusion technique of Multi-slice Spiral Computed Tomography (MSCT) and its clinical application in malignant kidney tumors. Methods 27 patients with malignant kidney tumor and 55 normal cases were performed perfusion scan and helical scan by MSCT. All the data were sent to Advanced Workstation 4.0, and perfusion parameters and time-density-curve (TDC) of regions of interest was got by Perfusion 2 software. For those cases whose anatomy structure could not display clearly, three-dimenrional reconstruction were got with multiplanar reformation (MPR) and shade surface display (SSD) techniques. Results (1) TDC of malignant kidney tumor can be devided into 3 kinds compared with that of normal renal cortex. The absolute peak time of the tumors which were eliminated the time of circulation were early than that of normal renal cortex, P <0.05. (2 ) There were significant differences between the parameters of the active parts of tumor, such as blood flow (BF), blood volume (BV), mean transit time (MTT) and capillary permeability surface area product (PS), and those of normal renal cortex, P <0.05. (3) There were no difference among the parameters of the periphery normal tissue, the tissue of uninjured side and those of control group, P>0.05. Conclusion MSCT perfusion techniques can not only show the morphologic changes of the malignant tumors, but also indicate the functional changes of the malignant tumors. As a convenient, non-invasive exam way, MSCT perfusion technique should be applied wildely in the future. |
