Objective: To discuss difference of gene in tissue of cervical squamous cell carcinoma between Han and Uygur woman, further we identify its pathogenesis by comparing gene expression profile between Han and Uygur woman developed cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Method: Gene chips containing 2 048 human genes were used to investigate gene expression profile in tissue of cervical squamous cell carcinoma and normal cervical tissue sample of themselves of 3 Han and 3 Uygur women. Result: 146,103,592 differentially expressed genes between cervical squamous cell carcinoma tissue of 3 Han women and normal cervical tissue respectively. There are 2 differentially expressed genes in 3 Han clinical cervical cancer samples. Thay are all upregu-lated genes. 429,197,665 differentially expressed genes between cervical squamous cell carcinoma tissue of 3 Uygur women and normal cervical tissue respectively. There are 64 differentially expressed genes in 3 Uygur clinical cervical cancer samples, including 53 upregulated genes and 11 downregulated genes. There are not differentially expressed genes in cervical squamous cell carcinoma tissue of Han and Uygur (6 specien). But the specimen is 5 and 4. Differentially expressed genes are 3 and 49 respectively. Conclusion: The occurrence of cervical cancer is correlated to various tumor-related genes. The difference of gene expression exists in tissue of cervical squamous cell carcinoma between Han and Uygur woman. We deduce that the cause of cervical cancer of Han and Uyger isdifferent.
