Clinical Research On Surgical Neck Of The Humerus Fracture Treated By Manipulated Relocation With External Plastic Splint Fixation

Purpose: the effect of manipulated relication with external plastic splint fixation on surgical neck of the humerus fracture was evaluated firstly and its mechanism was discussed.Methods: 68 cases of surgical neck of the humerus fracture were chosed in our research .There were 38 cases of 2 and 30 cases of III0 ;all the cases were randomized into two groups and each group had 34 cases.The therapy group were treated by manipulated relocation with external plastic splint fixation; and the control group were treated by operation. All the cases were treated for 2-6 weeks, We took x-ray pictures to detect the callus,the incidence of traumatic arthritis,the restore of the shoulder joint function in 2,4,6 weeks.Results: manipulated relication with external plastic splint fixation on surgical neck of the humerus fracture enhanced the callus, reduced theosteoporosis, joint stiffness and its effect was better than that of control groups . It was available to the shoulder joint function restore.Conclusion:The method of manipulated relication with external plastic splint fixation matched the rule of modern biological mechanics; It have manipulsted easily,less incidence of traumatic arthritis advantages; It was strong fixation,increased grinding of the section of the fracture, provided preface and more reliable stediness with the plastic splint and avoided complication of the shoulder joint ,earlier function restore of the shoulder joint. It was a reliable technique for treatment of the surgical neck of the humerus fracture.
