The paper analysed synthetically 136 ultrasonic images of knee joints derived from 68 patients with sports injury at the knee which has been proved by clinic examination, arthroscopy, MIR, X-ray check, articular cavity puncture therapy and operation. This study was undertaken to discuss about the value of ultrasonic approach in clinic diagnosis of common acute and chronic sport injury of knee joint. To discuss the role of ultrasonography in the follow-up of reconstructed anterior cruciate ligament (ACLs) 8 patients with ACL reconstruction underwent ultrasonography scan for 1-9 months after operation. The reconstructed ACLs were scanned, and the function of knee joint was evaluated. Through the above analysis and studies, such conclusion are got:1.The high-frequency ultrasound may sensitionly detect knee effusion, and thus it can be used as a diagnostic method for knee effusion.2.The high-frequency ultrasound can show the meniscus echo clearly , observe its shape, structure change, such as wounded , fibrosis ,calcification , cyst ,etc. So the high-frequency ultrasound may be a auxiliary diagnose tool for detecting the pathological changes of meniscus.3. Ultrasound images are captured in real time, so they can often show movement, function, and anatomy of muscles, tendons and ligaments .And show a series of athological changes of them in knees such as bleeding, swelling, tears and ossifcation, as well as enable radiologists to diagnose and assess extent and quality of damage after trauma. And judge different periods in healing, so sonography may be a reliable examining method for damage of the muscles, tendons and ligaments. It is advantage in musculoskeletal sonography to do bilateral scans of the extremities for proper comparison. and dynamics appraising at any time.4.The high-frequency ultrasound may show a series of pathological changes of cartilages in knee cap such as coarseness and abrasion and attenuation, so the high-frequency ultrasound may be a diagnostic tool for detecting the athlete chondromalacia patellae. 5.ultrasonography can show clearly pathology structure changes of nursitis and cyst, so it may be a reliable examining method for nursitis and cyst. 6.Ultrasound images can show clearly and observed by many directions loose bodies in the knee joints, the great majority loose bodies contain the osseous composition in the body, some have simple cartilages too, a few may also contain synovial membrane organize and fibrous organize, so ultrasonography can remedy deficiencies of X-rays to examination cartilage and synovial membrane.7. The ultrasound can roughly reflect the histological reconstruction of ACLs. It can offer assistant information to doctors in the postoperative rehabilitation training.
