Effects Of Shuganxiehuo Method On Androgen, Insulin And Leptin Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Patients

[Objective] We evaluated the therapeutic effects of shuganxiehuo method on menstruation, acne, hairness (Ferriman-Gallwey scores), BBT of polycystic ovary syndrome patients who belong to hepatic fire with no obestity and observated the change of the levels in serum of LH, FSH, PRL, T, FT, A, FINS, FPG, leptin in order to explore the therapeutic mechanism and the effect of androgen, insulin and leptin in the occurrence of PCOS.[Methods] 25 cases which were consistented with our study standard were treated with Shugan Xiehuo Chinese drugs(Jiajian Longdan Xiegan Tang) for 3 months to take the prospective study. The levels in serum of LH, FSH, PRL, FT, A, FINS, FPG, leptin were assayed and insulin sensitivity index was calculated before and after treatment. The information, such as pattern of their menstruation, acne, hairness, BBT and aciesis, was observed for 6 months from pretherapy. We also compared the level of serum leptin between 20 normal female and PCOS group .The evaluation and statistics were done using SPSS11. 0 for Windows software and X~2 test, T test, calculating data expressed x±S.[Results] (1) After treatment, irregular menstruation, acne, BBT were all improved significantly (P<0. 05). F-G scoring didn' t decrease significantly (P>0. 05). 4 people of 7 cases infertility prior treatment were pregnant . (2) After treatment, the levels of LH, LH/FSH, PRL, FT, A were all obviously lower than those of pretherapy (all P<0. 05). FSH had little change between pretherapy and post treatment (P>0.05). (3) After treatment, the level of FINS were significantly lower than that of pretherapy but the level of FPG were little changed(P>0.05). (4) The information, such as age, waist~hip rate, body mass index, had no difference between PCOS group before treatment and normal group(P<0.05), but the level of leptin in PCOS group was obviously higher (P<0. 05).
