| Objective To evaluate the influence of tetrahydrobiopterin on the process of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion.Methods thirty rabbits were divided into three groups randomly, control group ,MIRI group and BH4 group .After occlusion of the left anterior descending coronary artery of a rabbit for 60 minutes followed by 90 minutes of reperfusion, (ischemia-reperfusion)NO,MDA and SOD concentrations were measured and the myocardial infarction area as well as infarction area versus left ventricular area were calculated, The results were compared within three groups. Results Compared with control group , SOD activity was markedly decreased (391.10 ±6.22U/ml VS 375.77±3.13U/ml, P<0.01) the MDA concentration was markedly increased (10.03+1.19nmol/ml VS 13.96±1.44nmol/ml, P<0.01 ) and NO concentration in MIRI group was markedly decreased (89.10±10.86μmol/ml VS 66.67±3.37μmol/ml 1, P<0.01) . Compared with MIRI group, the SOD activity in BH4 group was markedly increased(383.26±4.69U/ml VS 375.77±3.13U/ml,), but no difference between two groups; and the MDA concentration was markedly decreased (12.09±1.09nmol/ml VS 13.96±1.44nmol/ml,P<0.01). there was significant difference between MIRI and BH4 groups with NO concentration(75.24±2.96μmol/mlVS66.67±3.37μmol/ml ,P<0.01 ) ,there... |
