Surgical Repair Of Defect Of External Nose

Objective To study the feasibility of using local flap to repair defect of external nose through the repairing experience of three typical cases with different defect position of external nose. Methods According to the defect position, area, deepness and comprehensive conditions, 3 typical cases with different defect position of external nose were repaired with nasofrontal flap, bi-base pushing flap and nasolabial flap in one-stage operation. Results 3 cases gained successful results in appearance and function. Conclusions Through reasonable design and surgical techniques, defect of external nose could be repaired with local flap generally. The surgical scope is limited, injury is small and prognosis is good. The treatment result is satisfactory.
