| The gastric carcinoma is stemming from the leather malignant tumour on the mucous membrane of stomach. It belong to "Epiagstric pain" , "Dysphagia" , " Abdominal mass" , " Gastric nausea" and " Blood symptom complex" etc. of traditional Chinese medicine. The location of the disease is in the stomach. It closely related with such internal organs as the spleen, liver, gallbladder, heart, kidney,etc. The pathogenesis primarily is Disharmony between Liver and Stomach, Deficiency of Both Spleen and Stomach; The nature of the disease belongs to deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality.Our country is the high taking place area of a gastric carcinoma, annual death rate takes the first place in various kinds of malignant tumour. To the treatment of the gastric carcinoma, the main principle is to find in early days , diagnose in early days and treat in early days. Operation is still a main means to treat the gastric carcinoma at present. But it generally exists that thought bear heavy , survive quality to be poor between the patients of gastric carcinoma behind the skill, it causes very much low in their five years survival rate after the skill. As to this, modern medical science does not have very effective method of treatment. But it is definite curative effect to the treatment of the gastric carcinoma in traditional Chinese medicine. Compatible , state not seeking unity of standard but still staying to its research in numerous theories, enclosing to gastric carcinoma operation issues of research , Chinese medicine of disease scarce , causes traditional Chinese medicine fail playing its due role and advantage to treatment of thisdisease.Objective: This research aims at adopting and studying to the retrospect of gastric carcinoma impatient's case history of the past five years of department of general surgery of institute of traditional Chinese medicine of Guangdong Province, counting analytical method in pluralism to adopt, clustering quantitative analysis, summarizing the syndrome or symptom complex and the distributive and evolutive law of the patients after the operation. It can be expected better instructing clinical application to treat, thus reduce by various kinds of complications after the skill further, improve survival rate , skill of future trouble person and survive quality , can offer for the fact that this clinical diagnosis and treatment on the basis of an overall analysis of the illness and the patient' s condition is cured certain typing diagnose basis. Methods: The gastric carcinoma patient of department of general surgery of institute of traditional Chinese medicine of Guangdong Province accorded with and included in the standard case history materials in order to book one group of samples with January of 2000 - December of 2004, include relevant materials in EPI Info 6. 04 Set up the database, adopt sample cluster , minimum variance law (Ward' s method ) probe into gastric carcinoma person who effect a radical cure excision enclose operation issues of Chinese medicine distribution that card wait and develop the law after the skill.Results: 1. The syndrome or symptom complex and distributive law of patients of this group on 3-7 days after the skill is:It can be split into six typings which are disharmony between Liver and Stomach + Qi deficiency, deficiency of Stomach-yin +the depressed Gallbladder with the perturbation of Phlegm, the depressed Liver with the insufficient Spleen+the coagulation of Phlegm and Dampness, deficiency-cold of the Spleen and Stomach +splinic disorder due to retention of cold Dampness, weakness of both Heart and Spleen +stagnancy of Live-qi. It can be found out by above-mentioned results that the discriminate typing 3-7 days after this disease skill is mostly deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality.
