Objective: To study the orderliness of Bone Mineral Density (BMD) , which changing along with the age, in normal Male and Female people of Foshan City by the way of BMD measurement to part of people in Foshan, and the relationship between BMD and osteoporosis (OP) or osteoporotic fracture. To evaluate the value of BMD, which was gotten from differ observing parts, while it was using on diagnoses of osteoporosis and forecast of osteoporotic fracture. Try to find a way on establishing the normal BMD reference curve of Foshan normal people in parts of anteroposterior lumbar spine (L2-L4) and sciatic neck, Ward's and troch area. To calculate the peak bone mineral density (PBMD) of each parts and its age.Methods: 1002 people of Foshan, 501 each of Male and Female, were involved. We set 13 age groups of sample from 20 to 80 elder year old. The age-step is 5 year-old. All people who is elder that 80 year old were in one group. A same age group of osteoporotic fracture patients which was elder than 50 year old was established as observing objects. All people were selected stochastically to its group. BMD measurement was taken at various skeletal parts of anteroposterior lumbar spine and hip by energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA). Statistic Analysis: Adjacent age groups in the normal groups were compared by t test, and so to the comparing between the groups of osteoporotic fracture and the normal people who were in same age group. To compare data of R2 in different regress models while establishing the normal BMD reference curve and select the best regress model to establish Normal reference Curve. To calculate the PBMD in different observing part and its age by the model. Results: While BMD, whatever in lumbar or hip, achieved PBMD, it will gradually depress along with the age increasing in normal people of Foshan. BMD accelerate obviously decreasing in the 50-up-age female groups, but it just shows in male 75-up-age groups. The others male groups show gradually decreasing tendency. The level of average BMD in groups osteoporotic fracture patients was lower than corresponding age of normal groups in all observing parts. This distinction especially be showed in groups of female 55-75 age, male 60-75 ago and 80-up-age groups. Ward's area showed earlier than the others and obviously decreases. Tt was the most sensitivity guideline to reflect the BMD change. Second part was neck area. However, it did not changed...
