Objective: The risk understanding about the level of type 2 diabetic women's bone density still has an issue.General thinking, many factors influence the postmenopausal diabetic women bone mineral density, including:Age,course of diabetis, and the year limit of postmenopausal;weight index number; The level of blood sugar and insulin etc. A great deal of Domestic and international experiment already confirm that the serum level of TRACP-5b, CTX-I, BAP among the diabetic, postmenopausal women, osteoporosis and tumor bone transfer sufferers all more than normal person and exists statistics difference. This research aim to study the influence factors of postmenopausal diabetic women and the changes of bone mineral density and serum TRACP-5b,CTX-I,BAP . Comparisons of the level of serum TRACPT-5b both in control and diabetic samples, the result suggest that the serum TRACP-5b will be a particular marking in monitor postmenopausal diabetic women bone absorbtion. Methods: In this study, 150 subjects (postmenopausal women) with type 2 diabetes mellitus (defined by 1999 WHO criteria), 150 healthy non-diabetic subjects (postmenopausal women) were chosed as control group. All subjects were evaluated for BMD at L(1)~L(4) lumbar vertebrae and at the femur (neck, trochanter, InterTro and total) by DEXA (dual energy X-ray absorptiometry). Diabetic duration, FBG, PBG et al were recorded, and these data were evaluated for any relationship in respect to BMD measurements.Characteristics of subject obtained:①BMD were measured by OSTEOCORE 3 made in MEDI LINK (France).②TRACP-5b,CTX-I,BAP were measured by ELISA.③hemoglobin A1c in blood were determined by DCA2000+(Bayer Co. Germany).④fasting plasma insulin(FINS), estradiol(E2) were measured with radioimmunoassay.⑤The patients'high and weight were recorded, body mass index was counted.Results1 There are positive correlations between BMD with, FINS,and BMI in postmenopausal diabetic patients, negative correlations with the postmenopausal diabetic duration blood sugar and HbA1c.2 In diabetic group, compared with the osteoporotic patients and non-osteoporotic patients, the course of the disease was significantly longer than that in non-osteoporotic patients (P<0.05). FINS, FCP, TRACP-5b,CTX-I,BAP were significantly higher than those in non-osteoporosis patients (P<0.05).3 The TRACP-5b will be a particular marking in moniting postmenopausal diabetic women bone absorbtion. It is more sensitive than the DEXA.It can reflect the bone metabolism level earlier, and have great significance in prevention and treatment osteoporosis4 The morbidity ratio of diabetic osteoporosis is 54%.Conclusions1 The postmenopausal diabetic patients are easier to be developed the osteoporosis.2 The serum level of TRACP-5b, CTX-I, BAP in postmenopausal diabetic patients is significient higher than the normal control group3 The TRACP-5b as a particular marking in moniting postmenopausal diabetic women bone absorbtion is more sensitive than the DEXA.4 The main reason of postmenopausal diabetic women bone absorbtion is low level of estradiol .5 The high risk of osteoporosis in postmenopausal diabetic patients is related to low level of insulin, poor glycemic control, Lower BMI and the long course of the disease.
