Objective Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), the most common endocrinopathy in women , is characterized by hormonal and metabolic imbalance. The aim of the study was to investigate the concentration of the androgenic hormon and the relationship in the biomedical parameters. Methods Thirty-one consecutive patients with PCOS and twenty-nine, age matched healthy control women were included in the study. Take veinal blood in the early follicular phase that on the third day of the menstrual.serus blood samples were obtained for the measure of testosterone (T), androstenedione (A4), dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS),sexual hormones binding globulin (SHBG),17 α -hydroxyprogesterone(17-OHP),estrone(E0),Insulin-like Growth Factor I(IGF-I), Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein-I(IGFBP-I), estradiol(E2), body mass index(BMI) or so with radioimmunoassay or immunoradiometric assay. Differences between the groups were analyzed by t-test and chi-square test,Correlation analysis between the parameters were performed using Pearson's correlation coefficient (r).Result (1)A4 and IGFBP-I was significantly higher in the research group compared to the controls (p<0.01),SHBG and IGF-I was significantlylower in the research group compared to the control (p<0.05 and P<0.01,respectively). E0 and 17-OHP measurements did not differ between the groups (P>0.05). (2)100% patients with hyperandrogenism in PCOS have an increased concentrations of A4 and decreased concentration of SHBG.83.33% patients have an decreased concentrations of IGF-1,41.67% patients have an increased concentrations of IGFBP-I.The frenquencies among patients with hyperinsulinemia are 80.95%,90.48%,47.62%,47.62% respectively. There were not great significant differences of them between hyperandrogenitic and hyperinsulinemic patients. (3)Hyperinsulinemia is more popular than hyperandrogenism in PCOS.(4)In research group the percentage according with LH≥10IU/L is 45.16%.That according with LH/FSH≥2 is 35%.In research group there were significant correlations between FSH and LH (r=0.606, P<0.01), FSH and E2 (r=-0.416, P<0.05), FSH and A4 (r= 0.375, P<0.05); LH and 17-OHP(r=0.385, P<0.05); E2 and DHEAS (r=-0.361, P<0.05); T0 and DHEAS (r=0.450, P<0.05) ,T0 and A4 (r=0.655, P<0.01); LH/FSH and T0(r=-0.371, P<0.05), LH/FSH and E2(r=0.756, P<0.01), LH/FSH and DHEAS (r=-0.375, P<0.05); DHEAS and A4 (r=0.411, P<0.05); A4 and 17-OHP (r=0.502, P<0.01); BMI and A4 (r = -0.361, P<0.05) ,BMI and 17-OHP (r = -0.546,...
