purpose: To study the characteristics of clinicopathologic in female breast cancer between Uygur patients and Han patients of xinjiang; To study the significance of expression of vascular endothelial growth factor A(C)(VEGF-A(C)) and microvessel density (MVD) in invasive breast cancer,The relationship among microvessel density (MVD )and VEGF-A(C) expression to various clinicopathologic factors of breast cancer were analyzed.Methods: The age,Lymphy node status,grade,tumor size in the Ⅰ~Ⅲ stage in 101 cases of Uygur and 220 cases of Han patients of clinicopathological breast cancer were analysised form January of 1998 to December of the 2003 in People' hospital of Xingjiang Uygur Autonomous Region; 192 samples of Han patients and 92 samples of Uygur patients are invasive breast cancer , There are 188cases of Ⅰ — Ⅱ grade and 100 cases of Ⅲ grade. 175 cases of lymph node metastasis and 113 cases without lymph node metastasis were observed in all cases ;92 samples of invasive breast cancer were obtained,There are 22 cases of I grade , 28 cases of II grade and 42 cases of Ⅲ grade,57 cases of lymph node metastasis and 35 cases without lymph node metastasis were observed in all cases,In situ hybridization and immunohistochemisty (LSAB)were used to detect the mRNA and protein expression of VEGF-A(C); CD31 and CD105 were used to detect MVD in 92 samples of invasive breast cancer.ResuIts:(1)The proportions of the age higher than 35 years old, tumor size and lymphy node metastasis were 88.2%, 51.4%, 60%; 82.2%, 123%, 78.2% between 101 samples of Urgur patients and 220samples of han patients . In statistical analysis,the difference age of constituent ratio was not significant (X~2=2.11, P>0.05); Lymphy node metastasis in Uygur patients were significantly higher than Han patients (X~2=10.20, P<0.05) ;Tumor size in Uygur patients were greater than Han patients (X~2=12.42, P<0.001) ;With increasing of lymphy node metastasis , tumor size is enlarge in Han patients (X~2=14.26, P<0.05) .(2) The proportions of Ⅰ~Ⅱgrade and Ⅲ grade were 73.8%, 83.1%; 45.7%, 65.2% between 92 samples of Urgur patients and 188 samples of han patients . Lymphy node metastasis in Uygur patients were greater than Han patients in Ⅰ~Ⅱgrade and Ⅲ grade (X~2=13.14, P<0.001; X~2=5.08, P<0.05) .(3) The proportions of the expression of VEGF-AmRNA and its protein were 31.8%, 57.1%,64.3%, 27.3%, 53.6%, 59.5% in difference pathological grade (Ⅰ~Ⅲ gade) in 92 samples, With increasing of the pathological grade,the VEGF-AmRNA and its protein expression are highly (X~2=6.26, P<0.05; X~2=6.21, P<0.05) ; The proportions of the positive expression of VEGF-AmRNA and its protein were 68.4%,...
