An Experimental Study On The Effects Of Rhubarb Alcoholate On Insulin Sensitivity And Adipocyte Factor In Diabetes Mellitus Fat Rat

Objective To investigate Rhubarb alcoholate on Insulin Sensitivity ,blood-lipid adiponectin , tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in diabetesmellitus(DM) fat rat.Methods Type 2 DM rat model was induced by tail vein injection ofstreptozotocin(STZ) and high fat feeding .Then the rats were treated withRhubarb alcoholate by administration by gavage .Fasting serum adiponecctinconcentration, TNF-αlevel in all groups were detected both before and afteradministration by gavage through ELISA method Measure the level of insulinand blood-lipid simultaneously.Figure out and analyse index's antilogatithm ofinsulin-sensitivity according to HOMA-IR formula .Compare the resultsobtained both before and after the treatment.Results After treatment,serum adiponectin level and insulin sensitivity of therats in model group and treatment group are higher than before(P<0.05),Thelevel of TNF-α and blood-lipid in those two groups is lower compared with thenormal control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Rhubarb alcoholate can remarkably increase serum adiponectinlevel,improve insulin sensitivity ,decrease TNF-αand blood-lipid.
