| Objective To investigate the effect of the new microsurgical operation on the treatment of cubital tunnel syndrome. Methods 35 cases (37 nerves ) of cubital tunnel syndrome were divided into two groups. One group ( 20 nerves ) was treated by the conventional surgical operations, the other group (17 nerves) was treated by the new microsurgical operation. The patients were followed up to observe the long-term effects of the two operations and the changes of the ulnar nerve's MCV.Results After operation the patients were followed for an average of 1.75 years. According to the Zhang gao-memg's standard, the excellent and good rate was 80% in the conventional operation group and 94.13% in the new operation group. Between the two groups, the changes of MCV were obviously different ( P<0.05).Conclusion The long-term effect of the new microsurgical operation on the treatment of cubital tunnel syndrome is better than the conventional surgical operations. |
