Clinical And Pathologic Mechainsm Of Shufengning Granule In Treating Trigeminal Neuralgia

Objective:To explore systematically the pathologyic mechanism of treating trigeminal neuralgia from theoretical,clinical and experimental aspects on the grounds of summing up the documentation and clinical experience.Methods:30 patients are divided into two groups at random:cases in treatment group ere treated with Shufengning granule;cases in control group are treated with Carbamazepine.In experimental study ,the effect of ShufengNing granule in the model animals's cerebral level of neuropeptides are observed.Results:The clinical observations show that the notably effective rate of the treatment group is 46.67%,and the total effective rate is 86.64%;while the notably effective rate of the control group is 26.67%, and the total effective rate is 93.33%.The differentce between the two groups is insignificant(P>0.05).And there is a very significant difference at the aspect of improving the minor symptoms between the two groups (PO.Ol).The results show that Shufengning granule has the same effect as Carbamazepine.In the animal experiments,Shufengning granule can decrease the cerebral level of substance P(SP)and calcitonin-gene-relatedpeptide(CGRP),but the effect of increase the cerebral level of p-endorphin(P-EP) seems insignificant. Conclusions:Based on deeply exploring the mechanism and therapeutic method of trigeminal neuralgia,a new effective recipe is found,and further study could be carried out.
