| Objective To investigate the effect of intestine microecologic agents applying to postoperative patients with colorectal diseases. Methods 32 patients undergoing the colorectal operation were randomized into the study group and the control group. Both groups received standard enteral nutrition. The study group received golden bifido from the 3~rd day to the leaving hospital day, but the control group didn't receive golden bifido. A series parameters including gastrointestinal symptom, diarrhea and diarrhea score, intestinal flora ratio, body temperature, blood cell count, total lymphocyte count et al. were measured before and after the operation. Results (1)Gastrointestinal symptom: Compared with the control group, the study group had less days with flatulence and abdominal pain, reaching statistical significance (P<0.05) . At 6th day the study group had a less occurrence of flatulence and abdominal pain, reaching statistical significance (P<0.05) . (2) Diarrhea and diarrhea score: The study group had less occurrences of diarrhea, reaching statistical significance at 6th day (P<0.05) . In the study group, the total occurrences and days of diarrhea are lower than those of the control group, reaching statistical significance ( P <0.05) . The mean diarrhea scores were also lower, reaching statistical significance at 6th day (P<0.05). (3) Intestinal flora ratio: Intestinal flora ratios were higher in the study group, reaching statistical significance at 6th day (P<0.05). In the study group intestinal flora ratios decreased after operation, and increased after the application microecologic agents, reaching statistical significance (P<0.05). (4)Inflammatory status: The difference of the temperature, leucocyte count and NEUT% didn't reach statistical significance between two groups(P>0.05). (5)Immune status: There was no significant difference of total lymphocyte count between two groups. (6) Hospitalization cost: There was significant difference of the hospitalization cost and the antibiotics cost after operation(P<0.05), the study group was lower. Conclusion The Applications of intestine microecologic agents in postoperative patients with colorectal diseases are beneficial in alleviating gastrointestinal symptom and diarrhea, correcting intestine flora disturbance and reducing the medical treatment cost. |
