This study is to observe and evaluate the clinical effect of ginger-partition moxibustion on benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) by measuring the volume of the remained urine before and after treatment, the kinetics of the urine fluxion , the volume of the prostate(V) , the International Prostate Symptoms Score (I-PSS) and the Quality of Life (QOL).Base on the basic theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine and with the clinical observations of BPH, we think the main pathogenesis of BPH is the declining of renal-qi, the stagnant blood , the stagnation of the vital energy and the humidity-hot is the subsidiary pathogenesis. So ,we made the principle for the treatment is to tonifying the renal -qi, dredgeing the meridian .We treated 40 cases with ginger-partition moxibustion on the point of zhiyin , guanyuan and zhongji. The results shows that there is a significant effect (P<0.05~0.01) compared with the group which is treated with Conprosta by lowing the volume of the remained urine , score of I-PSS and QOL, highing the biggest fluxion of the urine.The study shows that the therapy of Ginger-partition moxibustion have the characteristic of less hurt, side-effect and tabooed symptoms which represents the trend the development of the modern medicine and offered a new way for the clinic.
