| Objective To test and verify the instant heat effect of Anfa and improve the manipulation of it. Method Fifteen volunteers were tested with two kind of Chinese Tuina manipulation Anfa respectively --conventional Anfa and "hyperemic"Anfa. The temperature before and after the exercise of the two kind of Anfa were measured and recorded respectively with thermo-couple in five depths of 0 cm, 1 cm, 2 cm, 3 cm and 4 cm. Results The heat effect of the conventional method was not stable and its penetrating heat effect was poor, though the temperature was raised significantly at o cm and 1 cm (P<0.001).However, there was no significance statistically because the temperature changed little at the depth 2 cm to 4 cm (P>0.05). Comparatively, the heat effect of the "hyperemic"Anfa was stable, the heating penetrated to the depth of 4 cm and kept stably at hand withdrawals, which was significant (P<0.001) compared with the conventional method. Conclusion The "hyperemic"Anfa had apparent instant heat effect, the heating penetrated deeper and was stable. |
