Objective:Research the state of myopia patients after being operated by LASIK. Methods:In this study I chose 90 patients with myopia who were operated through LASIK in Tianjin Medical University Eye Center from October, 2004 to December, 2005. According to diopter, these patients are divided into 3 groups, in each group there are 30 people(< -6.00D;-6.25- -10.00 D;> -10.25 D). On the other hand, we make 30 people as comparable group who have normal eyesight.Through checking the changes in visual function such as refraction, phoria, relative accommodation, vergence, near-point accommodation, near-point vergence, etc, preoperatively and one week, one month and three months postoperatively, every function has been analyzed one by one. Results:1. In every group the changes of spherical refractive diopters, compared with that before operation, are statistically significant. With the passage of time patients change into myopia gradually, so operators will make a little hyperopia state when they operate their patients. Astigmatism diopters decrease after operation, the changes are statistically significant. The axis of astigmatism also changes, but this change has no regularity.2. After operation the changes of diopters tend to be normal. Phoria tends to disappear.3. After operation, positive relative accommodation gradually increases and negative relative accommodation has no changes.4. After operation, with the disappearance of excess of accommodation, positive vergence decreases and near negative vergence increases.5. After operation, the near-point of accommodation and near-point vergence gradually leave far away from eye, but are close to the normal level. Conclusions:LASIK develops the binocular vision of myopia patients.1. Phoria of far or near distance tends to disappear.2. Positive relative accommodation gradually increases and negative relative accommodation has no changes.3. Positive vergence decreases and negative vergence increases. The range of fusion tends to be normal.4. Near-point of accommodation and near-point vergence gradually leave far away from eye and are close to the normal level.
