| Flu is a common clinical disease, the main syndromes include headache, fever, cough, fatigue and muscle-ache. Because there are no effective and safeanti-virus drugs, so we usually adopt symptomatic treatment. With theincreasing of living standard, people have realized the discommodity caused byflu. The present anti-flu drugs have many side-effects, so how to find a newdrug with less side-effects is the main problem people concerning. Chinesetraditional medicine has affirmative curatsive effect and almost no toxic reaction. The resource of Chinese traditional medicine is abundant. So Chinese traditionalmedicine has particular advantages in treating flu.Ginsenoside Rg3 has extensive biological activities. Pharmacology studiesproved that Ginsenoside Rg3 has excellent anticancer effect. In this study,Ginsenoside Rg3 was used as an anti-flu drug. The former experiments hadproved it had excellent antibacterial and anti-virus effects. The purpose of thisstudy was to study the anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activities ofGinsenoside Rg3. so we can guide the exploitation of the drug and provide thedata of clinical dose.1 .diaphoresis experiment1.1 staining methodWistar rats were divided into five groups: the control group,pilocarpine(35mg/kg) group, and the Ginsenoside Rg3 groups, which includingthree groups : 2.5mg/kg , 5mg/kg and 10mg/kg . Pilocarpine was administeredthrough sc. Other groups were administered through intravenous injection. Theexperiment was operatsed according to the literatsure. The results showed thatGinsenoside Rg3 10mg/kg group had significant diaphoretic effect on rats at5min and 15min. It could increase secretion of sweat from the rats footpad. Ithad significant difference compared with the control group (p<0.05). Othergroups had no evident diaphoretic effects(p>0.05).1.2 tectology methodWistar rats were divided into five groups: the control group,pilocarpine(35mg/kg) group and the Ginsenoside Rg3 groups: 2.5mg/kg,5mg/kg group and 10mg/kg. Pilocarpine was administered through s.c. Othergroups were administered through intravenous injection. The results showed thatGinsenoside Rg3 5mg/kg,10mg/kg group could significantly increase secretionof sweat from the rats footpad at 10min. It had significant difference comparedwith the control group (p<0.05). And it had equivalent diaphoresis effectcompared with pilocarpine. The results of staining method and tectology method were accordant. Theresults showed that Ginsenoside Rg3 had diaphoretic effect on rats.2. anti-inflammatory experiment2.1 histamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine induced rats blood capillarypermeability increasingWistar rats were divided into five groups: the control group,Chlorphenamine Maleate (50mg/kg) group and the Ginsenoside Rg3 groups, which including three groups: 2.5mg/kg , 5mg/kg and 10mg/kg .Chlorphenamine Maleate was administered through intragastric. Other groupswere administered through intravenous injection. The experiment was operatsedaccording to the literatsure. The results showed Ginsenoside Rg3 had nosignificant inhibitive effects on rats blood capillary's permeability increasingcaused by histamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine.2.2 carrageenin induced rats paw swellingMale Wistar rats were divided into five groups: the control group, theGinsenoside Rg3 2.5mg/kg group, the Ginsenoside Rg3 5mg/kg group, theGinsenoside Rg3 10mg/kg group and Hydrocortisone (10mg/kg) group. Eachgroup was administered through intravenous injection. The results showed thatGinsenoside Rg3 could significantly inhibit carrageenin induced rats pawswelling. The Ginsenoside Rg3 5mg/kg group and 10mg/kg group hadmaximum effects at the time of 4h.3. antipyretic experiment3.1 beer yeast induced fever in ratsThe qualified male rats were divided into five groups: the control group, the Ginsenoside Rg3 1.25mg/kg group, the Ginsenoside Rg3 2.5mg/kg group, the Ginsenoside Rg3 5mg/kg group and the antondine group(0.4ml/kg).Thefever model was made by subcutaneous injection using 10% bear yeast . Thetemperatsures at the time of 15min,30min,45min,1h,90min,2h,3h,4hand 5h were measured. The results showed that Ginsenoside Rg3 hadsignificantly antipyretic effect in a dose dependent manner.3.2 typhoid and paratsyphoid induced fever in rabbitsThe qualified male rabbits were divided into six groups: the control group, themodel group, the ginsenoside Rg3 1.25mg/kg group, 2.5mg/kg group and5mg/kg group, the antondine group (0.2ml/kg). The model was made bysubcutaneous injection using typhoid and paratsyphoid(0.8ml/kg). The resultsshowed Ginsenoside Rg3 could significantly inhabit fever induced by typhoidand paratsyphoid in rabbits. And Ginsenoside Rg3 had antipyretic properties ina dose-dependent manner. |
