| Geum aleppicum Jacq., a kind of perennial herbaceous plant ,which iswidely distributed in the Northeast China and the Far East, especiallyabundant in the Changbaishan area, has been used in traditional Chinesemedicine. Its whole plant or roots have the activities of clearing heat andexpelling miasma, exceeding discharge of urine, relieving swelling andcausing analgesia. However, the studies on chemical constituents of Geum aleppicum Jacq.have not been reported domestically and abroad. Jiang Yuan-ping et al. onlystudied on the in vitro antimicrobial activity of the decoction, thewater-soluble ingredients and the lipo-soluble ingredients. Therefore, wecarried out some research on the chemical constituents of Geum aleppicumJacq. in this paper. Our research focused on carboxylates in Geum aleppicum Jacq.. Sixcarboxylates were isolated by organic extraction and chromatography. Theirstructures were identified by analyzing the physical and chemical constantsand spectral data. They are chlorogenic acid, eugenol ,benzoic acid, gallateacid, salicylic acid, vanillin. Chlorogenic acid and eugenol were first isolatedfrom Geum aleppicum Jacq.. |
