| Plants of Geum aleppicum Jacq. are perennial herbs, mainly grown in Northeast, North, and Northwest of China. In order to search for novel lead compounds from Geum aleppicum Jacq., we have conducted an in-depth study on aerial part of Geum aleppicum Jacq.,Six compounds were isolated from methylene chloride extract of the CH2Cl2extract of Geum aleppicum Jacq. by silica gel column chromatography, Rp C18silica gel column and Sephadex LH-20, etc. he structure of the compounds elucidated on the basis of physicochemical and sepectroscopic analyses including1H-NMR and13C-NMR spectra, were characterized as, bis (2-methylheptyl) phthalate(1),2a,3β-dihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid(2),5-hydroxymethyl furfural(3), kaempferol-3-O-β-D-(6-p-coumaroyl)-glucopyranoside (4), β-sitosterol(5) and ursolicacid(6). |
