Comparison Of Laparoscopic And Open Surgery For Treatment Of Adrenal Tumor And Renal Cyst

It was almost 100 years history of laparoscopic technology,but there isonly more than ten years when it really entered the field of urinarysurgery.According to generous domestic and foreign literatures,laparoscopicsurgery is developing better than orther fields.Almost all of the traditionalopen surgery,which can be replaced by laparoscopic surgery.The laparoscopictechnology shows much merit that others can't provid.To evaluate retroperitoneal laparoscopic procedures in the treatment ofadrenal tumor and renal cyst.we abstracted 68 patients'dates of adrenal tumorand renal cyst,which were performed retroperitoneal laparoscopic and openoperation between July 2002 and December 2005 in China-Japan unionhospital.Among adrenal tumor, laparoscopic adrenalectomy or tumorectomywas performed in 15 patients,Open surgeries were performed in 18cases.Among cases of renal cyst,laparoscopic renal cyst unroofing wasperformed in 20 cases and open surgery was performed in 15 patients.Compared with open surgery,retroperitoneal laparoscopic procedure wasbetter than open surgery in estimated blood loss,analgesic use andpostoperativehospital stay(P<0.05). But in operation-time,there is nosignificant differience between laparoscopic adrenalectomy or tumorectomyand open surgery in the team of adrenal tumor(P>0.05).There are no severecomplication after laparoscopic operation in 35 cases. The clinical symptomsof follow-up 32 laparoscpic cases were released or disappeared.We got the conclusions that retroperitoneal laparoscopic procedure is aminimally invasive and safe therapeutic option for adrenal tumor and renalcyst.With the level of doctor's operation developing,the time of surgery can bemore and more decurtated.
