Objective:To observe clinical effective of Ingredient-modified "Minor Bupleurum Decoction"on treating Acute Viral Myocarditis and study its therapeutic mechanism. Methods: Sixty patients of AVMC were randomly divided into the control group (30 cases) and the treated group(30 cases).Conventional medical therapy was given to two groups and the 30 patients in the treated group were treated with Ingredient-modified "Minor Bupleurum Decoction" .The therepeutic course for both groups was 4 weeks. Results: Their symptoms, sings, clectrocardiogam (ECG),dynamic ECG changes before and after treatment and the funtion of the left heart were observed. The results imply:(1)the improvedment on chest stuffiness, short breath, fatigue and spontaneous perspiration in the treatment group were better than those in the control group (P<0.05).(2) Ingredient-modified "Minor Bupleurum Decoction" has a better effect on improving ECG than the control group(P<0.05). (3)Especially Ingredient-modified "Minor Bupleurum Decoction" has obvious effects on reducing myocardium enzyme table and improving the function of the left heart and enhancing immunity index. Conclusions: Ingredient-modified "Minor Bupleurum Decoction"is effective on the AVMC.
