Objective: To study the influence of Biyanqing (Rhinitis clean granula, RCG) on serum concentration of Cytokine, IgE, ECP in allergic rhinitis model and the morphologic changes. Methods: Establish allergic rhinitis model of rat by injecting vaccine (OVA+Alumina+polyvalent vaccine). After that rats were with filled stomach RCG. Two weeks later the levels of serum cytokines 1L-4,IFN- Y , IgE, ECP were determined by ELISA, and observe the changes of nose mucosa by light microscope. Results: After the treatment by using RCG, the levels of serum IL-4 in both high-dosage and middle-dosage therapy groups were fluid from 10.30 + 4.41pg/ml, 12.42±6.55pg/ml are lower than that in model group 17.62 + 6.10pg/ml, that arkedly (P<0.01 and P<0.05). The levels of serum IFN-r in therapy both high-dosage and middle-dosage therapy groups were fluid from 34.19 + 6.16pg/ml, 27.92 + 6.47 pg/ml, are higher than in model group 19.33 + 5.63pg/ml that markedly (P<0.01), Serum IgE in therapy group high-dosage middle-dosage little dosage group fluid from 26.46 + 6.12ng/ml, 49.11 ± 4.48ng/ml, 70.68 + 7.59ng/ml, and model group 81.03 + 7.54ng/ml are lower than that in model group that arkedly (P<0.01 and P<0.05), serum ECP in therapy group high-dosage 1.48±0.25ng/ml and middle-dosage group 2.30 + 0.56ng/ml, are lower than in model group 4.23 + 1.20ng/ml, that markedly (P<0.01, P<0.05), little dosage group 3.05 + 1.27ng/ml, and model group contrast not markedly (P > 0.05). Under light microscope, we obserred that the morphology of nose mucosa in allergic rhinitis model was changed, break off of epithelia, dropsy, dilation of blood vessel, hyperplasia of gland, there were a lot of eosinophils and mast cells infiltration, In blankcontrast group and therapy groups high-dosage and middle-dosage, there were no eosinophils and mast cells filtration. Conclusion: The RCG is highly effective in treating allergic rhinitis by regulating the expression of Th1 and Th2 cytokines and correcting the imbalance Th1/Th2 cytokines network, by fall on serum concentration of IgE ECP, restaining the assembl of inflammatory cells in nose mucosa in Allergic Rhinitis rat stabilize the membrane of cells and preventing degranulation.
