| Objective: to study the correlation between human papillomavirus and telomerase activity in cervical cancer in uighur women. Methods: HPV16 was determined by PCR and telomerase activity was detected by TRAP-PCR in 32 cervical cancer, 25 cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and 33 chronic cervicitis cases. Results: (1) The positive rate of telomerase in cervical cancer was 46.9% (15/32), in CIN was 76% (19/25), in chronic cervicitis was 21.2% (7/33). With regard to the positive expression rate of telomerase CIN > cervical cancer > chronic cervicitis; CINâ…¢>CINâ… , â…¡ (P< 0.05). (2)HPV16 positive rate was 71.8%(23/32) in cervical cancer, 24%(6/25) in CIN, 0.30%(l/33) in chronic cervicitis. The positive rate of HPV16 was: cervical cancer> CIN>chronic cervicitis, (P<0.05); (3)There were 12 HPV16 positive cases, among the 32 cervical carcinima which has telemorese activity positive expression (80%), among 23 HPV16 positive cases there were 12 expressed telomerase positive (52%) in cervical cancer, among 19 telomerase positive CIN patients there were 6 who expressed HPV16 positive (31.6%), but among the 33chronic cervicitis, there were no patients who has expressed both of them. On expression strength of telomerase and HPV16: cervical cancer> CIN> chronic cervicitis; (4) The expression of HPV16 and telomerase activity in the different stages of cervical cancer are: â… -â…¡ stages 61.9%, 57.1%, â…¢-â…£ stages 90.9%, 27.2% there no significant differens between early stage and late stage,... |
