A Comparative Study Of Calculation Deficits In Patients With Hemisphere Damage

Objective: To explore the calculation disorders in patients with right or left hemisphere damage, compare with their calculation ability and understand characteristics of calculation disorders after in these kinds of patients.Methods: Calculation Battery Scale (including 13 subtests) were administrated to 35 patients with left-brain-damage, 28patients with right-brain-damage, and 30 matched control subjects. Comparisons were made between the normal control group and patients with brain-damage; and the difference have been investigated between right and left hemisphere damage group.Results: All patients with left-brain-damage or right-brain-damage presented at least a certain degree of calculation disturbance.
