Habitat Research Of Acaroid Mites

Objective To study composition and diversity of acaroid mites community in different circumstances, and survey the allergic situation to dust mites(DM) of asthma patients in different occupations.Methods Acaroid mites were isolated by directicopy and Tullgren, identified and counted under microscope. The richness, diversity and evenness of species were calculated by Margalef index, Shannon-Wiener index and Pielou index. Asthma patients were sieved by case history and detected specific IgE of dust mites in serum.Results 913 samples were isolated acaroid mites in 2 160 samples. In human circumstance, acaroid mites were isolated from 236 samples and the positive rate was 32.8%. The isolated 14 species acarid mites belong to 13 genus, 5 families. In work circumstance, acaroid mites were isolated from 288 samples and the positive rate was 40%. The isolated 11 species acarid mites belong to 9 genus, 4 families. In storage circumstance, acaroid mites were isolated from 389 samples and the positive rate was 54%. The isolated 26 species acarid mites belong to 19 genus, 7 families. There were 26 species of acarid mites identified from three different circumstances. These acarid mites belong to 19 genus, 7 families. The result of diversity analysis shows that the average breeding density ranged from 15.35 + 6.13 to 31.27 ±8.34, the number of species ranged from 11 to 26, the values of the species richness index R_margalef for the three circumstances raged from 1.987 to 4.351, the species diversity index (Shannon-Wiener index) ranged from 2.270 to 3.133, and Pielou index ranged from 0.947 to 0.962. In storage circumstance, the values of the species richness index Rmargaief for the storage circumstance raged from 0.252 to 2.541, while the species diversity index (Shannon-Wiener index) ranged from 1.058 to 3.141, and Pielou index ranged from 0.924 to 0.982 in a year. And the positive rate of SPT and slgE in serum were 60% and 51.1% separately in asthma patients who often contact the traditional Chinese medicines in their works.Conclusions Acaroid mites breeds widely, and the average breeding density was higher from May to August than the other months. The composition and diversity of acaroid mites community in three different circumstances were significant differential. These conditions maybe concerned with the different temperature, humidity and humandisturbance. The food habit of acaroid mites and human disturbance also affect species composition of the acaroid mite community. The hypersensitivity to allergen of DM in different occupations might be related to the different occupational circumstances. Occupational health works should be strengthened for those specific populations.
