Mal-eyesight is one of the six kinds common diseases of the pupils. It is directly affecting the learning, living and employment in the future. The ametropia and amblyopia are the chief factors of the juvenil and children' s mal-eyesight. And the myopia is the material cause. It is the most common incidence of ametropia global. It has become the severely public health issue .We observed the status of the mal-eyesight, the variance of the vision, the status of ametropia and the correlation factors. We also discussed the differentiation of symptoms and signs for classification of syndrome and correlation factors of ametropia.Part I literature Research 1, TCMWe summarized the evolution of name, etiology, pathogenesis, differentiation of symptoms and signs for classification of syndrome and progress of mal-eyesight. In ancient literature, mal-eyesight belongs to the category of "nengjinqieyuanzheng" , "nengyuanqiejinzheng" , "xiaoerqingmang" and therapy relates to Spleen and Kidney. 2, Western MedicineWe summarized the status of the mal-eyesight, epidemiologic study, the relationship between the education degree ,economy developmental and ametropia.Part II Clinic ResearchObjective: To understand the character of the condition of the juvenal and children' s mal-eyesight, the vision variation, ametropia and the differentiation of symptoms and signs for classification of syndrome and the influence factor.Method: We check vision of the children sampling in Haifeng county from 2003 to 2005, discuss the relationship between mal-eyesightincidence and some objective indicatrix. And register the numerus of 50 cases(100 eyes) vision, retinoscopy, computer optometry, slit-lamp examination and differentiation of symptoms and signs for classification of syndrome...
