| Objective: Many studies discovered that Ras oncogene (whose expression product is p21 protein) plays an important role in the carcinogenesis and the development of breast cancer. Skp2 gene (whose expression product is Skp2 protein) is also protooncogene, which often overexpresses in breast cancer and is related with differential degree of breast cancer. But the significance of Skp2 in the process of the hyperplasia cancerating is not definite. In this study, we used immunohistochemistry to detect the expression of Skp2 and p21 in the normal breast tissue, adenosis of breast, breast atypical hyperplasia, breast hyperplasia cancerization and breast cancer in order to find out if there is some correlation between these two proteins and if they cooperate to induce carcinogenesis.
