The Middle cerebral artery (MCA) is the cerebral artery mainly to provide the blood in the brain, and it provides 80% of the amount of blood in the brain. The blood speed of the Middle Cerebral Artery is closely related to the cerebral flow. The scalp point penetration (from Baihui to Taiyang) deeply elicits the channels Qi, adjusts the Du meridian and regains consciousness, and rises the function in regulating the brain blood quantity. Objective: Examine the changes of the Middle Cerebral Artery blood speed when acupuncturing the Baihui to taiyang by the TCD, research the influence mechanism to the cerebral flow, and clarify the relativity among needle insertion, cerebral hemodynamics and the curative effect and provide the theories for the clinic.Method: Acupuncturing 40 acute cerebral infarction (in the Middle cerebral artery) inpatients either while being treated in the neurological ward or when being in right state. The cerebral hemodynamics (mainly Vs Vm) was observed by Transcranial Doppler Ultrasonography(TCD), While penetrating from Baihui to Taiyang, after a week and after three weeks and meantime the clinic effective was observed.Results:1.The Vs and Vm in the normal range have significant changes while acupuncturing and after three weeks (P<0.001) and have obvious changes after a week (P<0.05).2.The Vs and Vm in the infra-normal ranges have significant changes while acupuncturing, after a week and after three weeks (P<0.001).3.The Vs and Vm in the super-normal ranges have a few changes while acupuncturing (P>0.05) and have significantchanges after a week and after three weeks (P<0.001).4.The VS and Vra of the acupunctured group have no more changes after a week (P>0.05) and have more changes after three week(P<0.05) than the control group.S.The difference of the curative effect between the acupunctured group and the control group have statistical . significance.Conclusion:1.The cerebral hemodynamics (mainly Vs > Vm) have significant change While penetrating from Baihui to Taiyang.2. the scalp point penetration effects normally on the cerebral hemodynamics while acupuncturing, two-way after a week and after three weeks.3. The VS and Vm of the acupunctured group have more changes than the control group and The patients like this recover better than the others;4.The improvement of the cerebral hemodynamics is one of the mechanisms of the scalp point penetration to treat acute cerebral infarction.
