Objective: This topic aims to measure the expression of EGFR and VEGF in tissues of female patients with none small cell lung cancer, and studys the relationship between the expression and the occurrence, progression and prognosis of the disease, guiding the target therapy of the female NSCLC. METHODS: The expression of EGFR and VEGF in the 62 female NSCLC were detected by the immunohistochemical method. The relationships between the expression and clinical data, pathological data, prognosis of female NSCLC were analysed by the statistics. RESULT:The rate of EGFR expression in female NSCLC is higher than that in male. The expression of EGFR in female NSCLC was closely related to histological types, TNM classification and lymph nodes metastasis. The expression of VEGF in female NSCLC was closely related to TNM classification and lymph nodes metastasis. The expression of EGFR in female NSCLC is closely related to the expression of VEGF. By Cox's proportional hazard model analysis, histological types and lymph nodes metastasis were considered an independent predictor for the prognosis of the female NSCLC. CONCLUSION: The expression of EGFR and VEGF in female NSCLC has closely significance with the occurrence, progression and prognosis of the disease.
